  1. THE DAY OF THE MURDER

  4. Nicole Brown Simpson spends the afternoon with her
  5. ex-husband, later dines at her favourite restaurant
  6. "Mezzaluna", where her friend Ronald Goldman is working
  7. as a waiter.
  8.  
  9. Later this evening, Goldman hears that Nicole´s mother has
  10. left behind her glasses. He volunteers to take them to
  11. Nicole.
  12.  
  13. O. J. Simpson plans to leave on a trip to Chicago this
  14. evening. He and a friend go out for a Hamburger with
  15. Simpson´s Rolls-Royce. They return from Mc Donald´s at
  16. 9.40. The limousine driver who is to take O. J. to the
  17. airport arrives at Simpson´s estate at about 10.25. Since
  18. no one appears to be home, he waites till 10.40 before
  19. ringing the intercom buzzer. No one answers. At about the
  20. same time, Kato Kaelin, a friend of O. J. who stays at the
  21. guest house, hears a strange, scaring noise. In the

  23. After a few minutes he graps a flashlight and goes out to
  24. investigate. At his point the limousine driver spots
  25. someone inside the compound carrying a flashlight. Almost
  26. simultaniously he sees a black person, about 6 feet tall,
  27. $§crossing the driveway@@ ESTT1 towards the  house. Less than a
  28. minute later, O. J. answers the intercom, claiming he has
  29. overslept and just got out of the shower.
  30. Searching for the source of the noise, Kato Kaelin 
  31. $§reaches the driveway@@ ESTT2 the moment the limousine is
  32. driving in. Minutes later, O. J. heads for the airport for
  33. his long scheduled flight to Chicago.

  35. At midnight, a neighbour of Nicole Brown Simpson follows a
  36. dog which leads her to a body near a sidewalk leading to
  37. Nicole Simpson´s residence. Police find a second body, both
  38. of them lying in a river of blood. Nicole Simpson has
  39. suffered knife-wounds on her arms, apperantly from fighting
  40. her attacker. Her black dress is soaked with blood. Paw
  41. trails are found, leading away from her.
  42. Near Ronald Goldman´s body, police find an envelope
  43. containing Nicole Simpson´s mother´s glasses. Also found,
  44. a set of keys, a cap, and a single leather glove.
  45. Inside the house, still sleeping, Nicole and O. J.
  46. Simpson´s small children. Later, Pablo Fenjves, a neighbour
  47. of Nicole, will recall having heard a dog bark at about
  48. 10.15. Another neighbour, Steven Schwab, had even spotted a
  49. lonely dog, noticing that it had blood on its paws.

  51. Police quickly rush to O. J. Simpson´s estate to, as they
  52. now claim, notify him of the killings. Detective Mark
  53. Fuhrman spots a small blood-stain on Simpson´s Ford Bronco.
  54. As Police decide to go in without a search warrant, Fuhrman
  55. jumps the wall and opens the hydraulic gate. It is also
  56. Fuhrman who discovers the bloody glove behind the guest
  57. house.

  59. When Simpson returns from Chicago the next morning, he
  60. is handcuffed and taken downtown for questioning. Police
  61. discover a cut on Simpson´s left middle finger. He claims
  62. he cut his finger on a broken glass in Chicago after
  63. learning of the killings. After three hours he is
  64. released.
